MORPHE x JACLYN HILL Eyeshadow Palette Review

Hi my beauties and welcome back to my blog. I was so happy to get my hands on the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill eyeshadow palette. My first attempt at buying this palette from Beauty Bay wasn’t successful. I took too long to ‘checkout’ and alas the palette sold out! So when it came back in stock, I wasted no time in purchasing this bad boy and so here we are ready ti give it a try.

First off this palette cost me £37 from Beauty Bay, which I think is quite reasonable seeing as it is quite a big palette.  One thing I do wish it had was a mirror, just because the palette is a decent size and a mirror would complete it nicely. Packaging is sturdy and standard, but good with a magnetised lid to make sure the palette doesn’t open.  I do feel because of the size, it’s not going to be a travel friendly eye shadow palette, just because it would take up a lot of room. But safe to say I will definitely be getting a lot of use out of this palette at home.

The colours are stunning! there is a good mix of shimmers, mattes and a couple of glitters which make this palette very diverse.  The colour choices are perfect! I love warm tone palettes and this is definitely a warm toned one. I feel like warm tone eye shadows work with a number of skin tones and eye colours, so this palette will definitely suit many people.

The quality of the eye shadows is really good.  I did use the more neutral, toned down colours in this look and had near enough no fallout.  I am wondering whether the darker colours have more.  I will have to test this out in another video. But in terms of pigmentation, the colours are strong. I also found them quite powdery once they loosened up, so i did have to tap off the excess before applying on to my eye – which I guess helped with no fallout taking place.  The matte eye shadows are very buttery and they blend out really easily. Like wise the shimmer shade pack a punch when it comes to pigmentation and if you are a beauty buff like me, no doubt you will need this palette in your collection.
