Eid / Party Makeup Look

After a month of fasting we come to Eid. The celebration to mark the end of Ramadan.  I must admit that I have struggled this year.  Fasting all day not only makes me tired but also very thirsty.  As soon as Ramadan comes, the sun starts blazing here.  Last week alone saw the hottest day in the UK since the 1970s! It was so hot.

Now that we have got to Eid, I thought I would share with you guys the makeup I will be going for and the outfit I will be wearing.  I already had my outfit ready in advance (for a change) so this is the makeup I will be doing.

In my tutorial I used the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra foundation for the first time and I am really impressed. It’s a medium to buildable full coverage which stays all day and is matte.  I would say the consistency and finish of this foundation isn’t as thick as the Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation but on the other hand it isn’t as dewy as the YSL Touche Eclat foundation, which is quite dewy on the skin. I am definitely going to be using this foundation alot I think 🙂

One product I didn’t like at all whilst filming, which I must mention is the Tarte Amazonian Clay setting powder. Although it is a very fine powder, I found that it left a lot of powder behind, even after I dusted it off. I don’t know if it’s flashback or what, but the powder looks awful and can be seen even after I’ve blended it out. So please don’t waste your money on this setting powder. I will be reverting back to my trustee Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder – I should ever have looked elsewhere!

I love filming makeup looks and whilst filming this one, I came across my perfect lip combo to give me the shade I love. Because using one lipstick is never enough, I often mix a few to get the right shade.  Currently I’m loving using the Tarte Tartiest Lip Paint in Bounce and then applying the Huda Beauty Liquid Lipstick in Crush to the centre of my lips and blending out.  I finish off by lining my lips with the MAC Nice N Spicy lip liner. Mwah, perfection on my lips!

My current favourite lip combo!

So I hope you guys enjoy this tutorial. You can of course adapt the look to suit your taste and also recreate it for a party or any occasion. Don’t forget to share this video with anyone in need of some makeup inspiration. Check out my last video here & subscribe to see more of me.

See you all in my next video. xxx
