These beautiful little rose and geranium bath melts make the perfect gift for any occasion and are an ideal gift for Valentine’s Day. I’ve been adding these little beauties to my evening home spa bath ritual recently and love the way they just melt into the water to moisturise my skin, leaving it silky and soft. The aroma from the essential oils relaxes, calms and de-stresses the week’s woes away and they can be used as after-bath moisturising bars as well. This is a great way to get that rose and geranium scent to linger around you for longer and I personally love doing this as I am obsessed with anything to do with rose.
Made from shea butter and sweet almond oil, these little gems are great if you suffer from dry skin or eczema. Even if you are sensitive to using bubble bath, these nourishing, natural, 100% organic melts won’t irritate your skin.
They are so easy to make and so versatile, you can add any essential oil of your choice and add any extras, such as dried lavender, orange peel or even glitter! You’re creativity has no limits here!
Once I’ve made mine I like to put them in the freezer to set. Because the melts are made from shea butter, they need to stay cool, otherwise they may melt. Store them in the fridge once set and take out to use before a bath. The other thing I would say is they do make the bath quite slippery, so take care when you use them. I’ve had some near slips in the bath!

1/2 cup of Shea Butter
1/2 cup Coconut Oil
2/3 cup Beeswax
1tbsp Almond oil
Handful of dried roses (optional)
15 drops Lavender oil
20 drops Geranium & Rose oil
Silicone mould of choice – Like this one here
Melt the shea butter, Coconut oil and beeswax in a bowl over a pan of boiling water
Once melted, remove from the heat
Add the Almond oil to the mix
Add any dried herbs or glitter to the bottom of the silicone mould if you choose to use any, I’ve got dried roses
Carefully pour the mixture into your silicone mould and let it cool
Once cooled pop it in the freezer to set fully
Simply take a melt and drop it into the bath whilst filling the bath with water. Then enjoy, relax and unwind to rejuvenate yourself. Alternatively wrap them up and give as gifts.
Disclaimer: These make the bath quite slippery so be careful when you use them!
