Hi my lovlies, I hope you are all doing really well. So today I have a new video swatching these beautiful Huda Beauty liquid lip sticks and lip contours. I picked these up on a recent holiday trip to Dubai and went a bit over-board by literally grabbing a load of them! So I will be doing a Huda Beauty Lip giveaway on my channel very very soon, so make sure you are subscribed to keep up to date with all my upcoming videos. On to my review of the liquid lipsticks and lip contours. At first glance the packaging is beautiful. The liquid lipsticks look high end and come in a frosted glass tube with the Huda Beauty logo clearly visible. You really do feel like this is a higher end product what with the overall weighty feel to the lipsticks and the look. I like the fact that you can still see the colour of the liquid lipsticks through the frosted glass and the outer packaging is really cute with the lipstick nestled between what I’m guessing are Huda’s lips. As soon as these were back in stock, there were literally flocks of women surrounding the Huda Beauty stand in Sephora Dubai Mall waiting impatiently to grab which ever ones they could get their hands on. I was there too (had to be!) and just watching peoples behaviour in needing to grab Huda’s latest product goes to prove just how popular she is. I seriously can’t wait for her Rose Gold eye palette to come out – like millions of others I will be grabbing that one too 🙂
Back to the lipsticks which are so velvety and creamy in texture. They last ages as you would expect with any liquid lipstick and I have to say I do find all liquid lipsticks very drying on the lips. But a way round this is to use a really good quality lip balm underneath the liquid lipstick to moisturise the lips beforehand. I’ve found this technique to be really helpful and use it whenever I am going to use a liquid lipstick.
These liquid lipsticks definitely have an obvious scent to them. They smell very cake like, quite sweet in fact. If you are particularly sensitive to smells, then this may bother you at first. However after a while the scent does die down and disappear, but it is definitely evident to begin with. I picked up the following liquid lipsticks: Bombshell, Trendsetter, Icon, Cheerleader, Heartbreaker and Muse. Pro’s of these liquid lipsticks are: High end packaging, good quality, long lasting and creamy consistency. Cons: The only thing I would say is that I wish there was a classic nude shade among the colour range. Bombshell, Trendsetter, Trophy Wife and Icon are all very similar in shades.
I also picked up a few lip contours which are the lip liners. I managed to get to get a few matching ones: Bombshell, Trendsetter, Icon, Trophy Wife then Famous and Gossip Girl. The lip contours are really creamy and the colour pigment is really good. Again it would have been nice to see a ‘Bare’ or ‘Nude’ lip liner shade in the range, but overall these are great lip contours, which can double up as lipsticks as well. The lip liners have the signature black and hot pink colour scheme that is common to Huda Beauty which makes it clearly identifiable.
So guys I hope you liked my review of these amazing Huda Beauty Liquid Lipsticks and Lip Contours. As I mentioned I will be doing a giveaway very soon, so keep an eye on my YouTube channel, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook page – all husnarabeauty and I will see you in my next video. x
